Create A Simple Background |

Before you start,

Just for fun, we repeated this
tuition and, then, clicked several times in each corner of the image and the second image above
is the result.

Click the bottom box of the two boxes - see
picture to the left and, then, find it on D (Color Palette) on the left |

Click on White in the "Basic Colors"
square, click OK |

Enter Width=140 Height=140, click OK

Under the "Tools Control" tab, click the
down arrow beside the box under "Paper Texture" and select "Medium Bricks"
(you may need to scroll up or down) |

Click the "Brush Tip" tab, click the
down arrow beside the box under the "Shape" box and select "Round"
(you may need to scroll up or down) |

Click the picture of a pen next to
the "Shape" box and select "Paintbrush" |

Enter "200" in the "Size" box |
|
|
|

If the "Controls" box is in front of your
image, click the small "x" in the top right corner to close it

Move the mouse over to the middle of the image and
click twice |
|
Voila, you have your new background, which you
now need to save to a folder (directory) on your computer |

Click "Colors/Decrease Color Depth/256
Colors (8-bit)" and click OK

Click "File/Save As"

|

Note that the "File Name" box is blue and
flickering. This means that it is active and you can simply type over the existing text, so type a name
for your background, eg, "back"

Click the down arrow beside the "Save as Type" box,
(a drop-down menu appears), scroll up and click on
"CompuServe Graphics Interchange (* .gif)
|
|
|
|
|
|

Click the down arrow beside the "Save In" box
and click on your "C drive" |

|
|
|
|

Double click the "Images" folder |
|
|
|
|

Note your new name at the top of the image |
|
|
|
|

Close your image by clicking the small
"x" in the top right corner |
